Council considers South Catalyst designs

The design proposal for the downtown South Catalyst project has changed since the initial proposal the developer submitted to the city for consideration — Brinkman Partners presented ideas from the sixth version to City Council Tuesday.

The downtown revitalization project that includes blocks between Lincoln and Cleveland avenues from First to Third streets will include housing, retail and a parking garage.

Brinkman Senior Vice President of Development Jay Hardy said the more-notable changes include an increase in office space, a larger parking garage that will go underground, a doubling of retail space, a larger movie theater and a shift in the type of residential units.
