A major Northern Colorado real estate and development firm is splitting its company in two and changing its name.

The Coloradoan reports that Brinkman Partners is spinning off its brokerage, investment and consulting division into a new company called Waypoint. Brinkman Partners, meanwhile, will retain the development, investment and real estate management operations, and shorten its name simply to Brinkman.
