Loveland Celebrates Work on The Foundry


As elected officials and business leaders spoke in July about the potential for The Foundry in the southern portion of downtown Loveland, they occasionally were drowned out by the sounds of construction: heavy loads of dirt being moved by a front-end loader, hammers hitting metal and engines roaring to action.

When completed, the project will include a parking garage, hotel and movie theater, as well as other mixed use buildings.

Jay Hardy of Brinkman, the developer of the project, said he had hoped to be able to announce the hotel tenant who will occupy a portion of the space, but that announcement is likely another 30 days away. However, it was announced that the MetroLux Theater, which moved from Denver Avenue and Eisenhower Boulevard to the Promenade Shops at Centerra, will be the theater operator in The Foundry project. Opening of the theater is planned for November 2018.
