Over 100 people gathered in July to celebrate the groundbreaking of The Foundry, a decade-long project in the making. Loveland Mayor Cecil Gutierrez said one of his favorite comments from Economic Development Manager Mike Scholl throughout the process reminded him and others to be patient: “Fort Collins (downtown) was a 30-year overnight success.”

“So, it’s taken 10 years to get here, but what an exciting 10 years, and what a ride it’s been,” Gutierrez said. “Downtown revitalization is never easy. … But at the end of the day, what happens is exciting projects get done.”
